How to Install Open Screen Screen Recorder??

Windows (.exe)

  1. Download the .exe installer
  2. Double-click the file
  3. Follow the setup wizard
  4. Launch OpenScreen from Start Menu
  5. Grant screen recording permission if prompted

macOS (.dmg)

  1. Download the .dmg file
  2. Open it and drag OpenScreen.app to Applications
  3. On first launch, macOS may show a security warning
  4. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and allow the app
  5. Grant Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions

Since the app isn’t signed yet, macOS may block it initially. Once permissions are granted, it runs normally.


Linux (.AppImage)

  1. Download the .AppImage file
  2. Right-click → Properties → Allow executing as program
  3. Double-click to run (no installation required)
